Antonia Monson
Following several years of exploring other media I have recently returned to painting, deepening my connection with colour and form found in still life and familiar motifs. My pictures are inspired largely by rural Italy and mediaeval Italian fresco, and the Cotswold landscape I live in and love.
Born in 1959 I went to Dartington Hall School in the 1970s, where I was encouraged to develop artistic sensibilities. In the 1980s I studied painting at Sydney Place in Bath under Jackie Harding, and went on to work and exhibit as a professional artist. I now live in Gloucestershire.
